Coming soon to the Shopify App Store

A size chart button for your Shopify product pages.

Shoppers tap it, read your measurements in cm or inches, and can type in their own to get a size suggestion. You pay one flat monthly price, however many orders you take.

Free for one chart. Paid plans from $6.99 a month with a 7 day trial.

This is a working copy of the popup. Try the cm / in switch.

Why not just put a table in the product description?

That's what most stores do at first, and for ten products it's fine. We did the same. It starts to hurt once the catalogue grows.

Edits pile up. If 140 t-shirts share one chart and your supplier changes the cut, that's 140 descriptions to fix. With Tapeline you change the chart once.

Wide tables break on phones. A five column table pasted into a description usually gets squashed or cut off on mobile. The popup scrolls sideways and stays readable.

Units. Customers in the US mostly think in inches, most everyone else in centimetres. One switch converts the whole table, and the shopper's choice is remembered.

People miss it. A chart halfway down a long description gets skipped. The button sits right by the size picker, where people are deciding.

How it works

Setup takes a few minutes

  1. Make a chart. Type it in, paste cells straight from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV. One chart can hold several tables, shown as tabs, plus a note on how to measure.
  2. Choose where it shows. Pick products, collections, tags, vendors, product types, or simply all products.
  3. Add the button to your theme. The app's home page has a button that opens your theme editor with the Size chart block ready. Drag it under the size picker and click Save. Prefer a floating button in the corner? That's one click too.
  4. Done. Edit a chart later and every product using it shows the new version.

Here's how a typical clothing store might set it up:

RuleChart shown
Tag is dressesDress sizes
Collection is KidsKids, 2 to 12 years
Vendor is Northwind DenimNorthwind jeans
All productsGeneral sizing

When more than one chart matches a product, the one with the higher priority wins. On a tie, the more specific rule wins: a single product beats a collection, then tag or product type, then vendor, then all products.

Find my size

On the paid plans the popup has a short form. The shopper enters chest, waist and hip, or height and weight if your chart has those columns, plus the size they normally buy and whether they like a snug or loose fit. Tapeline checks that against your chart and suggests a size. If they're between two, it says so and names both.

What they type stays in their browser. It is never sent to us.

Moving from another app

The importer takes CSV, TSV, or cells pasted from a spreadsheet. If you use Kiwi Size Chart now, open a chart there, copy the table and paste it in. Each table becomes a tab.

Got a lot of charts? Email us your store address and we'll move them over for you, free.

On Pro you can also upload a supplier's size sheet or a photo of one and have it turned into a chart for you to check.

Pricing, briefly

Free covers one chart. Starter is $6.99 a month for up to 25 charts with Find my size and view counts. Pro is $12.99 a month with no chart limit and AI import. Billing goes through your Shopify invoice. No per order fees and no limits on views.
